History

  • 1989 – Staff members of construction and surfacing materials factory establish the Vozrozhdenie Cooperative (license No. 2).
  • 1989-1991 – The cooperative develops new product areas. Export of the factory’s construction and surfacing materials to Europe (Germany and Finland) commences. At the same time, stone dressers explore block paving technology in Finland, and the factory acquires respective production equipment.
  • 1991-1993 – Vozrozhdenie fulfils paving orders in Finland. The first order comes to clad the façade of еру Cherkizovskiy outlet shop. Work begins in Petergoff to reconstruct stone elements of the Grand Cascade.
  • 1993 – Personnel decide to convert the cooperative into a privately owned joint-stock. During the same year, the company enters the road building market, having received the first contract for outfitting of Malookhtinskaya embankment.
  • 1995-1998 – The company management focuses on the redevelopment and arrangement of pedestrian areas in its home city of St Petersburg. Overall restoration of Birzhevaya square at the Spit of Vasilyevskiy Island is completed. The company’s craftsmen focus efforts to set up the first pedestrian areas on the 6-7 Lines of Vasilyevskiy Island. Vozrozhdenie donates an obelisk to the city to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Order of St Andrew the First-Called.
  • 1996-1997 – The factory’s specialists perform unique work to provide external lighting for the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, and win the tender to redevelop the square in front of the Bolshoy Theatre in Moscow, including construction and installation of a fountain suite..
  • 1996-1999 – To enable uninterrupted supply of raw materials, the company acquires quarries and factories focusing on excavation and processing of natural stone, granite, lime and marble, as well as mining inert materials.
  • 1999 –The Road Construction Department is established. Five construction units comprise the construction management office of the holding company engaged in refurbishing existing embankments in St Petersburg and creating new ones.
  • 1998-2000 – Bridge building units are established, as well as a design office and a landscape design company. The company carries out orders to refurbish bridge structures. Pavement of the Arts Square in St Petersburg. Construction work at Ushakovskaya interchange.
  • 2001 – Vozrozhdenie Group of companies wins the bid for lot No. 1 to construct St Petersburg’s ring road.
  • 2001-2006 – The company performs, as general contractor, the work at major traffic thoroughfares and highways in St Petersburg, construction of Smolnaya Embankment, laying of Vitebskiy Avenue, reconstruction of Dunayskiy Avenue, reconstruction of the A-121 road. Refurbishment of Palace Square, pavement of the Nevskiy Avenue, Senate Square, redevelopment of the Spit of Vasilyevskiy Island, laying out St Petersburg’s 300th Anniversary park.
  • 2003 – Vozrozhdenie Group of companies extends the geographic reach of road building work, winning the tender for reconstruction of Leningradskaya Street in Samara.
  • 2004 – Participation in setting up the St Petersburg Association of the Road and Bridge Building Complex, DORMOST.
  • 2005 – BVQI classification society assigns certificate of conformity with ISO 9001:2000 international standard to Vozrozhdenie Industrial Group Private Company.
  • 2005-2006 – Construction of water sluice No. 1 in progress (St Petersburg flood protection facilities).
  • 2006-2010 – Renewal of utility lines and overall redevelopment of Peter and Paul Fortress, refurbishment of the cladding of Sovereign’s Bastion. Overall refurbishment of Sinopskaya Embankment. Vozrozhdenie Industrial Group Private Company acting as the general contractor in the bid for lots 1, 3, 4, 4.1, 7 for the first stage of eastern half-ring of the Ring Road. Construction of extension line of Piskarevskiy Avenue with an exit to St Petersburg’s Ring Road, including construction of the railroad over-crossing.
  • 2007-2011 – Overhaul of Kiev Highway (M-20 interstate). Project includes replacement of traffic light units and crossroads, replaced two-level interchanges, a tunnel, pedestrian underground walkways and footbridges. The M-20 becomes a highway with uninterrupted traffic.
  • 2008-2010 – Pavement of central streets, laying out of gardens and parks in St Petersburg, Astrakhan, Velikiy Novgorod, Vyborg, Rostov-on-Don.
  • 2009 – Uncovering of Hanseatic Sign in Velikiy Novgorod as donated to the town in honor of its 1150th anniversary.

  • 2009-2013 - Cooperation with Olympstroy National Concern commences to design Olympic park in Sochi. Vozrozhdenie Group enters the international market having prepared 17 traffic interchange projects (to increase the city roads’ capacity).
  • 2009-2013 – Construction of roads and engineering facilities (bridges, viaducts, overhead roads) in Turkmenistan, East-West transport corridor (seven traffic interchanges, three bridge crossings and two motor road sections), Southern ring road (over 16 km). Construction of a variety of projects in Ashkhabad, extension of Blagopoluchia street (4.1 km), motor roads to Yildyz five-star hotel (2.5 km), reconstruction of a motor road leading to Akhal-Teke horse race complex of the president of Turkmenistan (4.5 km) and Archabil Avenue (25.5 km). Construction of two projects, road bridges (overhead roads), 1300 and 400 m long, at a thoroughfare connecting Turkmenbashi Airport and the Avaza national tourist zone on the Caspian coast of Turkmenistan.

  • 2009-2013 - Accomplishment of the charity project related to the redevelopment of the Northern capital’s central streets with funds provided by Gazprom Plc.: Pestelya, Furstadtskaya, Belinskogo, Kazanskaya, Bolshaya Konyushennaya, Potemkinskaya streets, Vladimirskaya, Konyushennaya, Preobrazhenskaya squares, Kamennoostrovskiy, Chernyshevskogo, Liteyniy, Vladimirskiy avenues, Griboedova Canal Embankment. Since 2010, the company has been reconstructing Pirogovskaya Embankment, including construction of a tunnel of 450 m total length.
  • 2014 – Completion of refurbishment work at the Petrovskiy entrance of the canal embankment at Galernaya Harbour on Vasilyevskiy Island in St Petersburg. Overall redevelopment of Vosstaniya, Marata and Karavannaya streets, including arrangement of parking areas and installation of lighting. Reconstruction of Malaya Konyushennaya street. In 2.5 months completely renovated Pyatnitskaya street in Moscow with a total length of 1.8 km. DNV GL classification society assigns certificate of conformity with ISO 9001:2008 international standard to Vozrozhdenie Industrial Group Private Company.
